Daria Dolgareva (Born in Russia, 1991) is an artist of portrait and figurative painting.
Possessing a classical art education, at the age of 22 Daria delved into independent study of old-school painting technology. Her experience is based on copying the best masters of art, personal experiments, studying literature and museum collections. In 2017, she was invited to become a teacher at a private art school, where she made a significant contribution to the development of drawing skills for children and adults with physical disabilities. She introduced people with visual impairments to such meaningful elements as: form, rhythm, harmony, plasticity and color combination. These artistic activities helped visually impaired people develop fine motor skills, which are responsible for thinking, speaking, coordination, visual and motor memory. During her five years of work in the studio, Daria also contributed to the creation of training courses, which were a great success among aspiring artists.
Everyday life has become too crowded for a great romantic, and since 2021 Daria has been acting as a creative producer, supervising photography for her paintings. The artist’s work combines the ideas of old masters and modern interpretations, where skill goes hand in hand with innovative ideas. The largest of the projects contain not only the final painting, but also costumes and accessories created by her specifically for the portraits. All these elements help convey the overall idea and go beyond traditional boundaries, while maintaining a historical flavor. Possessing a creative streak and strong organizational skills, Daria brings together highly qualified specialists: photographers, videographers, stylists, makeup artists and many others. The necessary atmosphere is created on the site, where the artist presents objects specially produced for the project. Everything around turns into a significant, emotionally vibrant event. Her sitters become heroes who draw on the language of classical portraiture and the world of modern fashion
The artist’s paintings have been awarded at prestigious art competitions. Daria Dolgareva was awarded "Honorable Mentions Painting" at the Spanish ModPortrait competition of the IX season. She was an award winner at the 15th and 16th Annual ARC (https://www.artrenewal.org/) and a finalist in the international Beautiful Bizarre Art Prize. Her painting "Isabelle" was presented in the halls of MEAM, Museo Europeo de Arte Moderno (Barcelona, España). On behalf of the prestigious Arcadia Contemporary Gallery (https://arcadiacontemporary.com/), Daria made her debut at the LA Art Show 2022 in Los Angeles (https://www.laartshow.com/) and Five and Under 2023 in New York. After the opening of the LA Art Show, she was noted by Arte Al Límite magazine as an artist whose work is worth seeing at the exhibition.
